Are you curious about what it takes to speak at Unspam? Here's an easy questionnaire to help:
→ Are you passionate about email?
→ Do you have a strategy, tactic or practice you're excited about?
→ Do you have some grounded examples of those in action?
→ Can you offer actionable takeaways based on those examples?
If you can say yes to those, you're ready to submit to speak!
Submission deadline: February 7th, 2025
You don't need a completed talk to submit! All we're asking on the submission form is for a working session title, an idea of your main points and a couple of takeaways (as well as contact info). If we like the basics, we'll work with you to hone the topic from there.
Need some inspiration? Check out these sessions from previous Unspam events to get a feel for the type of content we like to feature.
Need a bit more context or have some curiosities? We've got you covered.
Will you cover travel and hotel for speakers?
→ Yes! We reiumburse up to $500 for travel, and offer up to two nights stay at our venue, the Lord Baltimore Hotel
Will you pay speakers?
→ Yes! We value your time and effort, so we will be paying an honorarium to all our speakers
Do speakers get a free Unspam ticket?
→ This should be a, "duh!", but it sadly isn't a universal practice, so yes, you get a free ticket as a speaker
How do I book my flight and hotel as a speaker?
→ You'll book your own flight (and apply the travel stipend we'll give you as you see fit), and we'll handle booking your stay at the Lord Baltimore once we have your travel details
When is the deadline for submission?
→ Friday, February 7th, 2025. Please note, that's just for the broad outline, e.g. topic covered, proposed title, main points, a couple takeaways
Are you accepting proposals for multi-speaker presentations or panels?
→ We love your enthusiasm, but we're not looking for multi-speaker or panel sessions right now
What support can I expect as a speaker?
→ Speaking can be intimidating, we get it. We want to offer you whatever support you find helpful, from regular check-ins to outline brainstorming, slide reviews, and presentation coaching
What if I've never spoken before?
→ That's totally okay! There's a first time for everyone, and we're ready to support you as indicated in the question above
How long are Unspam sessions?
→ 20-30 minutes
